Douglas Fir Doors

With these clients in NE Portland, the request was simple: they needed doors that allowed light through. The basement is relatively dark, but the need for privacy was also important. The solution we ended up with was frosted glass.

This finished basement has mostly concrete floors throughout, white trim and white built-ins so going with clear grain fir was the perfect choice to give a little warmth.

All three of the doors are full mortise and tendon with walnut dowels going straight through the joinery for greater strength and to add a little accent. The glass panels are also trimmed out with walnut to give the doors a handsome touch. To top it off, Rejuvination Hardware was brought in.

These doors are nothing but classy.
